West Harbour Rugby Union Football
Club
Proudly sponsored by Burwood RSL Club
West Harbour Rugby Union Club was founded in 1900 as Western Suburbs DRUFC and won its
first Premiership in 1902. In 1995 the Club changed its name to West Harbour Rugby Union
Football Club to more truly reflect the Clubs location in the inner west suburb of
Burwood.
In 2002, the Club was named the Sydney Morning Herald "Club of the
Year", and 2nd Grade took the Premiership. 2003 was yet another successful season,
with 3 Grade teams, 2 Colts teams and our Women's team making the semi-finals. 3 of these
teams then went on to play in the Grand Finals, with 3rd Grade taking out the Premiership.
West Harbour fields a total of 12 teams in the Premiership Rugby Competition, consisting
of 1st to 6th Grade, 1st to 5th Grade Colts and a Women's team.
